Last Tuesday, 5/6/25, Devin Townsend delivered a breathtaking performance at Bogarts in Cincinnati, OH. Tesseract, the only supporting band on the tour, readied the crowd with their signature rhythm-centric sound. They were impressively tight, combining Meshuggah-esque instrumental patterns with a more melodic vocal delivery.

Devin proved he was in peak form as he took the stage. Switching between operatic vocal passages to screams effortlessly, he brought an energy that few acts can match; truly, it was one of the best vocal performances I've seen. Long-time fans were happy to hear tracks including Love? and Aftermath from his Strapping Young Lad days.

Although Townsend has recently announced an indefinite hiatus form touring, fans can catch him for the reminder of the Powernerd tour at the dates below:
