GRIDLIFE Summer Apex returned to Road America this year and proved once again that it’s not just a motorsports event with music, it’s a fully grown festival experience where the music stands tall alongside the roar of engines. The focus this year was clear: build a lineup that could rival any mid-tier EDM festival while staying rooted in the strong energy GRIDLIFE fans expect.

Friday Night: Flosstradamus

Friday headlined with GRIDLIFE veteran Flosstradamus, who brought a barrage of heavy trap and a large crowd that set the tone for the festival. Before his set, artists like Jon Casey, Confetti Mike, Stikman, COFRESI, and Sheikha delivered genre-crossing performances that leaned into experimental bass, future beats, and atmospheric drops, much to the delight of the raving fans.

Saturday Night: A Full Festival Experience

Saturday’s lineup made a strong statement. Disco Lines and Of The Trees both made their GRIDLIFE debuts, and neither disappointed. Disco Lines brought the kind of bright, dancefloor-ready energy that felt like it could belong on any major festival mainstage, while Of The Trees brought depth—a darker, more textured set that pulled the crowd into a totally different space. Support from rising names like Able Grey, Aspen, Blaze Orange, and A-B Baby gave Saturday a well-paced, thoughtfully curated flow.

Late night, the secretive Laserwoods afterparty tucked into the forest stole the show for many. Sippyand Nikita, The Wicked delivered sets that offered a welcome contrast to the mainstage energy. The secluded setting, surrounded by trees and lights, made for one of those moments that feels curated just for those who made the extra trek.

Music That Stood on Its Own

What made this year’s Summer Apex especially noteworthy was how independent the music felt. GRIDLIFE isn’t just slapping DJs onto a racing schedule anymore, it’s building a real music identity. Whether you came for the cars or the drops, you had a reason to stay past sunset.

Cars, Shuttles, and Smooth Logistics

Of course, it wouldn’t be GRIDLIFE without the cars. The full weekend included TrackBattle Time Attack, GLTC wheel-to-wheel racing, and constant drift sessions that echoed through the campgrounds. The paddock also featured a rolling showcase of club corrals. But it never felt like the car world overshadowed the music, instead, it complemented it.

Shuttles ran smoothly between campsites and stages, making it easy to bounce between day events and night stages without missing a beat. The move of the main stage to Festival Hill gave more space, better sound quality, and an improved layout overall.

If you’re local, into racing, edm, or just looking for a good time. Summer Apex is the festival for you!
