For one night each year, Milwaukee’s rock faithful flock to Fiserv Forum Arena for a loud celebration of modern rock. On March 5, HOG Fest 2026 delivered exactly that, selling out the pit tickets at Fiserv Forum, with a stacked lineup featuring The Funeral Portrait, Sleep Theory, I Prevail, and headliners Three Days Grace.

From opening tracks to arena-conquering anthems, the night progressed steadily towards a finish that reminded everyone in attendance why Three Days Grace is one of the most enduring names in modern rock music.

The Funeral Portrait

Atlanta-based, “The Funeral Portrait” kicked off the night with an iconic Tears for Fears cover and a healthy dose of dark theatricality. Since their formation in 2014, The Funeral Portrait have made a name for themselves with their dark imagery and emotionally charged post-hardcore music.

Lead vocalist Lee Jennings did not wait long to assert himself as a presence on stage, prowling the front of the raised stage while encouraging those in attendance to get closer to the barricade.

Although there was still time for the remaining number of attendees to arrive, by the time The Funeral Portrait launched into their final tracks, fists were already raised in the air and chants began to ring out in the lower section of the arena.

Sleep Theory

Memphis band, Sleep Theory, formed in 2019, embody the new generation of radio-friendly hard rock: heavy enough to get the floor shaking but melodic enough to get stuck in your head for days.

Lead vocalist Cullen Moore’s use of soulful clean singing and biting screams of screams gave the band a dynamic flair. Songs like “Numb” and “Static” were well-received, with fans in the pit singing to the lyrics word for word.

By the end of Sleep Theory’s performance, the arena was nearly full, with the crowd buzzing in excitement for what was coming.

I Prevail

If The Funeral Portrait and Sleep Theory warmed the stage up, I Prevail set it on fire (literally.)

The Michigan metalcore group has spent the last decade evolving from viral cover sensations to one of the genre’s most consistent touring arena level show. Their HOG Fest set was relentless from the opening blast of “NWO.”

Vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe provided an equal measure of guttural screams and melodic singing. In the center of the floor, a mosh pit erupted briefly, a tight and energetic circle of fans slamming into each other in a whirlwind of adrenalin before security kept it all under control.

By the time their final notes rang out, the arena buzzed with anticipation for the night’s headliners.

Three Days Grace

When the lights finally dimmed for Three Days Grace, the roar that filled Fiserv Forum felt larger than life.

The band, forming in Ontario in the late '90s, has spent decades producing hits that walk the thin line between alternative and metal music. Their repertoire of loud music paired heartfelt lyrics and catchy choruses, put them on the playlists of many, and it showed.

Three Days Grace came out swinging with their first song, “Dominate,” and the following hit, “Animal I Have Become.” The band also knows how to bring their audience in closer. Halfway through their performance, the lights dimmed and the band began to perform an acoustic rendition of “Get Out Alive,”

“Chalk Outline / Porn Star Dancing,” and

“Lifetime.”

Thousands of voices joined in as they sang together in a massive display of singing and flashing phone lights. It’s a poignant moment in the show before they pick up the pace and deliver a series of arena-shaking hits.

By the closing chorus, the crowd was shouting every lyric back at the stage.

The Verdict

HOG Fest 2026 was a reminder of the value of rock festivals, even if it's condensed into one night at an arena. Each band offered something different in the world of modern rock, from theatrics to rising radio stars, metalcore heavy hitters, and veteran pop-rockers.

For the faithful of Milwaukee's rock scene, it was exactly the kind of night HOG Fest 2026 promised to be: loud, cathartic, and unforgettable.
