Milwaukee alternative rock band 5pm to Nowhere is set to release their new single, “One More Chance,” on April 18, following their February release of City of Light, Act I. This new track continues the story of a man trying to break free from the expectations of his city, serving as the first single from City of Light, Act II. Produced by Derek Moffat at 608 Studios, the song blends modern indie rock with influences from 1990s alternative rock, featuring catchy guitar lines and heartfelt vocals that explore the tension between the protagonist's dreams and his loved ones' concerns.
The alt-pop group 5PM to Nowhere was founded in 2020 by Jacob Webb, a Milwaukee singer-songwriter. After his father passed when he was eight years old, Webb started his musical career. Webb participated in the OnRecord Songwriting Competition, a music competition open to students from Chicago-area universities, while he was a music composition student at Northwestern University in Chicago. His song "Rumination" won the competition. As THUNK A Cappella's music director at Northwestern, Webb was responsible for organizing the group's well-known rendition of Bishop Briggs' "River."

5pm to Nowhere is gaining recognition in the Midwest music scene, drawing comparisons to bands like Coldplay and Death Cab For Cutie. They've performed in various venues across Chicago, Madison, and Milwaukee, including notable events like Summerfest. Their emotive songwriting and engaging live performances have garnered them over 500,000 Spotify streams since 2021.
The band isn't at on a tour yet, but they're set to play April 5th at Cole's Bar @ 9:30 PM, Chicago, IL, United States
