Last Friday, (1/24/25), American indie rock band played at the Milwaukee Turner Hall Ballroom and played their new single, "Tunnel Vision," which releases on February 7th.

The band originated locally, forming in Chicago, Illinois, in 2015. Beach Bunny, known for their catchy melodies and relatable lyrics, especially to teens and young adults, explore themes of heartbreak, love, and self-discovery over time. The lead vocalist and songwriter, Lili Trifilio, originally started Beach Bunny as a solo project before expanding into a full band in 2017, with the band's popularity exploding in 2018 with their hit song, "Prom Queen," which went viral on social media. Beach Bunny has recently continued to gain further traction as they opened for singer-songwriter Melanie Martinez on her "Trilogy Tour" across the globe, playing for millions of fans last summer and fall.

In regards to the concert itself, the energy was palpable, with the audience of mostly teens, young adults, and parents singing along to every song, not just the "TikTok Hits." Fans grew excited as the band played their soon-to-be-released single, with overwhelming support for the song.

You could tell, though, the fans were looking forward to the song, which made the band grow its fame, and I was incredibly surprised when, as the time came for the song, the band brought a fan on stage who asked to play and proceeded to play the hit with no bumps. This demonstration to me showed the loyalty the fans seemed to have for the indie band and the trust they received in return as they screamed the lyrics to the energetic yet lyrically emotional song.
